The department of Oral surgery commenced
operations in 1987 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Patients referred from government clinics will not be charged
where as patients referred from GP are charged a fee of RM30 for the
referral letter. Other charges depends on the treatment given.
In
January 2004, a new unit called Oral Pathology and Medicine has been
established led by clinical specialist in Oral Pathology and Oral
Medicine Dr. George Boey Teik Foo. This unit provides Oral Medical
treatment
.
Treating referred cases with problem in Oro-maxillo-facial region
such
as trauma, growth in oral cavity, oral cancer, dental implants, oral
swelling , bone and soft tissue cysts
