Elizabeth Hospital. This is part of the on going process to

Queen Elizabeth Hospital is the largest government hospital
in Malaysian state of Sabah. It was officially opened on 14th
September 1957. The hospital is situated one kilometer from the city
centre and it encloses an area of 42 acres. The official bed strength
is 589 but it has the capacity to accommodate up to 745
beds.
The hospital services can be divided into three categories:
- Inpatient services
- Emergency services
- Specialist services
Steps have been implemented to upgrade the quality of care and
to provide patient's comfort based on the concept of
patient-centered services. These measures include the
introduction of
- Alternative
Birth Center
- Endoscopy unit
- Palliative care unit
- Day care chemotherapy unit
- Breast clinic
- One-stop crisis center (24 hours)
- Haemodialysis unit
- Cardiology unit
Currently the hospital provides the following in-house services:
Internal medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Obstetrics and
Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, OtoRhinoLaryngology, Ophthalmology,
Oral Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Dermatology, Cardiology,
Nephrology, Paediatric Surgery, Urology and Vascular surgery.
The hospital also provides visiting specialist services in
Neurosurgery, Neurology and Haematology. If you wish to find out more
